From my first meeting with Yazan it was clear that we were on the same wavelength. We talked about what is important for us, about a sense of place, what home is and how nature has a way of cutting through our societal baggage. We both wanted to express something of the power of nature and the ghostlike but persistent nature of our cultural conditioning. It was fascinating how the ideas as to how to express this grew quite organically out of our conversations.

Yazan

Paul and ( ! )

We met, we talked, we ate...

We made our table

We put our things and thoughts on it and then laughed

This is where we started...

The story went on to create its own free performativity and its endless journey

These pieces are the dust of our dreams and pains

The dust  that would never leave

It is of you and for you

A stranger ghost who adores you
