The Dialectic of Trinity & Silent Room

At PAX Utrecht

**More will be added soon **

This sculpture is based on the mission of PAX which is the acquisition of peace through social action. The artwork depicts how humanity can turn away from violence, paving the way to wisdom and peace. The artwork is comprised of a bronze abstract female figure that is enclosed by a triangle of pillars in stone, metal and wood. The female figure's limbs have been left unnaturally yet she radiates tenderness in her expression. The stone pillar consists of stacked angular forms which represent the feeling of actual confinement. For me this happens when it is a petrified society where dictatorship results in extremism. One that is surrounded by taboos, rules and unwavering opinions. The second pillar is in metal and represents the next phase: moving away from oppression to humanity. It is the strength and courage of those who stand up and speak out, who pry themselves free. The third phase conveys a society in peace and harmony and is represented by wood. This is the only material that is capable of naturally adapting to environment. It stands for life, fellowship and an attitude that leads to peace.

Installation They Are Still There

 Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam
¨Give Us The Museum¨

The light was seeping through. We knew something better was there for us in the future, but not yet, for now, we had to wait. This open black box perfectly captures our situation there. We were physically safe, we were alive, and yet we couldn’t live. We were in a liminal space, suspended on a threshold for a period of time.
The artwork is an attempt to create space for all the thoughts, dreams, stories and a platform to express their feelings and opinions inside this environment.
The Installation is an attempt to create an intimate state through which you can touch this period and all the worries that the refugees have to live.
The paintings made of materials we used to consume on a daily basis (tea, coffee, etc.,) during that liminal period.
Inspired by the conflicts we have lived through. A4  21 × 29,7 cm

Painting They are Still There

A collection of paintings conceptualized and created during my residence at a refugee reception centre in the Netherlands. Initiated in 2015, these works express my immediate reaction to the Syrian war and the Syrian diaspora. The paintings show the tragedies of war and the impact of suffering as told by a refugee in diaspora. This work consists of eleven paintings created with different materials. Using the resources available, nine of the paintings have been made from non-traditional media (i.e. coffee, tea, sugar..etc). which were demanded for another purpose. Also, the pen and the pencil that have tasted the journey. Two of the paintings are Drypoint Etching on Plexiglass. which printed black CHARBONELL on paper.

The Woman

A group of sculptures that raise the issue of patriarchy that directs our way of life in classical and even contemporary societies with modern forms.

Obedience, resistance, freedom, desire, security, love, ugliness, distortion and fiercely, and a lot of situations appear with the woman journey within recognizing her existence inside the patriarchy system. That reflected in THE WOMAN group sculptures via an abstract form based on the circle shape.

There have been many theories that subjected our classic societies within establish states and laws, but they have all been secured under the shadow of the patriarchy system.
When the feminist movements began and the feminist theory of the state worked in some places, that gave us the opportunity to imagine a diversity of harmony after they have been absent for a long time, we noticed the difference in our lives, but unfortunately, we are still limited in the patriarchy form. This is leading us to put within a unipolar system of thinking and then deprives us of creating a fair society again.

How can we evolve without realizing the truth of democracy?
How can we release ourselves from the taboos that buried deep in our civilized culture?
Are we just two genders?

The Sounds in The Space

Sounds In The Space

Roar of sounds and noisiness...
They all scream...
No one hears...
No one sees...
That´s what the story said…

Het Sjain in de zee

(The seeing inside the sea)

This is what Schiermonnikoog does in the middle of the sea. The water wets the sands, soil, grass and leaves his magical effect on their colours. The interaction between the pure nature and the organisms throughout the four seasons. The artwork interacts with the environment by simulating the connection between soil and water. Carrying on one side an individual bas-relief of the artist.

The Last Supper

An abstract simulation for the last suppers' novel from another perspective, which simulates the current reality accompanied by its complexities, the loss and distractions from the target.

Installation  & Storytelling

Orange cloud ... The oriental sunlight carried it here... passed many places...  Raindrops lie into the clouds ...waiting for the moment to unleash ... Release it…

The installation is made of life jackets that were used during the Syrian diaspora across the sea. It carries four boxes and inside each box there is a life story of a migrant with a lot of his memories and stories, the immigrant who came through this cloud.
